Back to School for the Buzzies, as they landed at the University of Wollongong.
The O-Week event saw thousands of new students descend upon the campus, to check out and join student organizations, meet new friends and enjoy the activities.
BuzzyTV was on in full force, running live games on a giant portable LED screen, right on the grass. More than 1300 students battled it out throughout the day, instantly connecting to the game via their mobile phones and playing to win prizes! The setup made it fun and rewarding to learn about the University, through games such as "UoW or not?" with players guessing if the images shown were taken at UoW or not.
At UoW we debuted our Snapchat integration, a function that allows us to upload Snapchat photos directly into our games. Send us a selfie via Snapchat, and you'll see it appear immediately in our Buzzy Runner game!
During the day, a live Snapchat treasure hunt turned the digital into analogue, with winning students beating 150 people to find the hidden envelopes under the roo statues. They are now set to enjoy free surfing lessons at Illawarra Surf Academy & tickets to Cirque du Soleil, sponsored by WIN Entertainment Center!
